The World of "Swan Squad" + Inside Rodney Characters

(for "I Love Harpy")

The setting of the Swan Squad takes place in the United States. But it's not the USA you know- it's the USA on Pseudo-Earth, an alternate version of our own planet on which fairytale and mythical creatures and monsters actually exist. It's not so horribly blatant that there's werewolves and zombies and snake-people running around at high school, though- the monsters are separated from the humans socially and politically.

Not only that, but certain "stereotypes" play into what goes on in the various countries and states on the planet. For example, on Pseudo-Earth, Texas has seceded from the United States, California is drifting around in the ocean due to massive earthquakes caused by golems, and Florida is spotted with gaping fire pits- perfect for old retirees.

These changes aren't only subject to America, of course. Russia is populated mostly by beautiful communistic square-jawed women, and ruled by Mother Russia herself. The Loch Ness Monster is a fire-breathing bagpipe beast. Transylvania is filled with vampires- and to a lesser extent, so is its American knockoff, Pennsylvania.

It'll be lots of fun to play around with various mythological histories depending on where certain episodes take place. You can expect it to get more interesting as the series progresses and I come up with new ideas.
